Microwave Solutions, Inc.® (MSI) offers a broad line of microwave
amplifiers and related components used to control, filter and switch RF
and microwave signals throughout the 10 MHz to 26 GHz frequency range.
Our products are designed with both lumped-element and micro-strip distributed
element utilizing both discrete printed circuit board and chip and wire-thin-film
technology.

By using the latest computer-aided design software and state-of-the-art
equipment, MSI is able to rapidly evaluate new ideas and design concepts
to provide the customer with quick turn around time and greater design
flexibility.
As a supplier of high performance components for military and aerospace
applications, MSI understands the need for modified designs. We are capable
of solving microwave system problems with custom products of any complexity
from the simplest single diode module to the most complex, hermetically
sealed super-component. Where size and weight are critical, MSI has developed
a series of flatpak housings. These compact, lightweight housings provide
the system designer with a competitive edge in developing complex microwave
systems.
MSI can also provide comprehensive solutions to integrated system's
problems. Our staff has extensive experience with both active and passive
RF and microwave component design and fabrication. Upon request, MSI designs
can be integrated into multi-function modules, including such components
as integral isolators, filters, switches, attenuators, limiters and mixers.
We welcome inquiries about modifying standard designs or requests
to create new ones.
Facilities
MSI's facilities currently covers 8,500 square feet, including 2,500
square feet of class 100,000 clean room. Our facilities have passed quality
audits by many of the large OEM and government contractors.
Quality Assurance
Corporate policy dictates that quality is of primary concern in the
manufacture of every MSI product. Our Quality Assurance personnel maintain
a detailed system of inspections and tests, thus ensuring that our products
are consistently of the highest quality and reliability. Our quality inspection
system, per MIL-I-45208, and calibration system, per MIL-STD-45662, guarantees
that our products will satisfy the most stringent specifications.
Under the cognizance of our quality assurance department, Environmental
Stress Screening (ESS) and quality conformance testing in accordance with
MIL-STD-883 and/or MIL-STD-202 can be performed.
Workmanship standards are important to the quality and reliability
of microwave components. Detailed standards have been prepared based on
IPC-J-510-001D for both the thin-film and discrete operations. Additionally,
MSI has invested in training and facilities to provide discrete circuit
fabrication in accordance with IPC-J-510-001D high reliability soldering
specifications.

Conditions of Sale
Microwave Solutions, Inc.® (MSI) warrants each item produced by it to
be free from defects in material and workmanship. In no event will MSI
be liable for consequential or resulting loss or damage, whether or not
due to causes covered by this warranty. All MSI products are designed and
manufactured to high quality standards and are warranted against defects
in workmanship, materials and construction and to be free from any intentional
patent, proprietary, or copywrite infringement and to no further extent.
MSI products may contain MSI proprietary, patentable, or copywrited features
or designs and no assignment or transfer is made, except where specifically
purchased and separately priced on the purchase order. In no event will
MSI be liable for consequential misuse or damages. MSI products are warranted
against any above-named defects which appear within one (1) year of shipping
date, and will be replaced or repaired at MSI's discretion after engineering
review of the complaint, provided the procedure outlined below is followed.
This warranty is the only warranty and/or conditions of sale made by the
supplier and is in lieu of and supersedes all other warranties and conditions
of sale or customer's conditions of purchase, expressed or implied, and
no other warranty guarantee is either expressed or implied.
In the event that it is necessary to return products against the above
warranty, the following procedure is to be followed:
A) Return authorizations are to be requested prior to return, stating
model number, serial number, and requested action. Units are then forwarded
to MSI, transportation prepaid. Units returned freight collect or without
authorization will not be accepted. Such requests should be directed to
MSI customer service at (619) 474- 7500.
B) Original product identification markings must not be removed, defaced,
or altered. and the product must not have been subjected to abuse, improper
installation or application, alteration, accident or negligence in use,
storage, transportation or handling.
C) Return units will undergo complete test and evaluation. Replacements
and/or repair will be determined only after MSI has determined the cause
of the failure. All units returned are subject to a $150.00 evaluation charge
when: 1) The units meet full specifications and do not require repair,
or 2) After evaluation, non-warranty repairs are not authorized by the
customer.
D) MSI is not responsible for failures due to excessive stresses caused
by rough handling or overload during test or installation at the user's
location; nor can MSI be responsible for damage caused by improper operation
or faulty power supplies. Factory return inspection techniques can usually
sort out latent defects from excessive voltages and currents with respect
to credit or non-credit.
Every precaution is used at the factory to insure that every unit meets
all electrical and mechanical specifications prior to shipment. Buyer,
by his issuance of a purchase order or similar instrument, accepts this
warranty. The applicable laws of the state of California shall be used
for interpretation and adjudication of this warranty and related work
order or purchase agreement, venue to be San Diego, California.
